The combat is kinda smooth and the new combo system is quite nice. But then the patch came out and the framerate got a lot better, and I gave it a few more hours, and oh boy the game got better. The only thing I could think of while playing the first hour was: "this is not the game I've been waiting for since DW8, almost 5 years ago". I'm also not a big fan of open-world games anymore, since it's in every damn game nowadays.
Horrible frame rate, worst voice acting since DW2, repetitive combat even by Warriors standard and overall a disappointing experience. Started playing the game a couple of days ago and first impressions were really bad.
Being a longtime fan of the series I looked forward to Dynasty Warriors 9 quite a lot. I have played every Warriors/Musou game released in the west. Some are good, some are bad.īeing a Definitely not as bad as you think.
